Oriental Beauty Story
Oriental Beauty is a style of tea making with a really cool story behind it. Way back in the 19th century (maybe even earlier!) Taiwanese tea farmers noticed that their summer crops would be ravaged by the tea jassid, whose bite oxidizes the leaves and adds a sweet note to the teas flavor profile. As a result, they would refuse to sell summer harvests to the public and drink it themselves as they believed it was an inferior product.
I have so much Chinese & Taiwanese Oolong atm...
…I am not quite sure what to really do with myself. It’s almost intimidating.
Got some new teas today...
